Programs 2013

Happy 2013!! Just to keep you updated on this upcoming years classes. I will be running 4 classes on Tuesday's at Fairlawn community center as well as 2 classes on Thursdays at the Granite Club.

I am thinking of putting out feelers on whether there is an interest in participating in classes at the studio in the location just North of Eglington on Wednesday morning and Friday morning. Please connect with me at louisa@artplus.net if you may be interested. Class will be $15 a class.

Last Class for July!!!

I hope you are all having a great summer and are keeping cool!! I just wanted to remind everyone that the last class of Mini Music will be on Wednesday July 25 at 11:10am. Please email me if you wish to attend. I may run two more classes next month on August 22 and then again on August 29th if there is enough people available to attend.

Please keep updated by checking my blog as I will post my fall classes and locations at the end of August for those who are interested.

Class this week

Update on the schedule

Hard to believe we are already in the month of July!! If you are looking for a fun musical experience with your child as well as escaping the heat, Wednesdays at 11:10 am class is available for 6mnths-3yrs. If you wish to attend one or more classes this month please contact me. I will post details of where to park and where to enter the studio. Thank you and hopefully I will see you soon!!

Class descriptions

Music for the Babies : Singing and chanting are eventual musical goals that begin at birth. Listening to sounds within the environment is the first experience to music for a newborn. Even though the vocal chords have yet to develop, the newborns ears can already differentiate sounds. The goal is to help nurture your child's development by keeping their hearing world full of various musical sounds both instrumental, environmental and vocal. In this program I have integrated a variety of sounds and instruments to assist in this development of hearing, seeing, and eventually vocalising. With the consistent curriculum you and your baby will be able to connect through songs, sounds and movement, bringing a great deal of wonderful enrichment to your child's early stages of a musical world.



Music for the Toddlers: I have been involved with infant and toddler programming for more than 10 years and I am thrilled by the absorbing minds of my young audience. This delightfully energetic class will foster growth in each aspect of your child’s development. Exploration of a variety of instruments allows each toddler to challenge themselves at their own comfort level, assisting in the physical development as well as keeping beat to different genres of music. Along with the use of instruments I also tap into their vocal and audio and visual development through songs, sounds, visual aids, puppets, balls, parachute, bubbles, and literature. You and your child will have the opportunity to learn together through a very free and enriched music and movement environment. With the bundle of instruments and toys, I like to bring a special energy to every class I teach.

I am very excited to announce that I will be holding classes at a very inviting studio this summer!  The classes will be held at McMaster Fitness located at 1820 Bayview Avenue north of Eglington.  This facility is in walking distance and also offers free parking!  Classes will begin in June, so contact me for further information at 416-882-3937, louisa@artplus.net or lmc@telus.blackberry.net
